The crypto community has become riled up after Bloomberg exchange-traded fund (ETF) analyst Eric Balchunas shared an excerpt from Benajmin Hart’s crypto book “Bitcoin: Beginner’s Guide,” which claimed Ether (ETH) is not as “secure” as Bitcoin.

Balchunas made the statement when he was commenting to ETF Store’s president, Nate Geraci, who was seeking a crypto book recommendation.

Bloomberg’s ETF analyst comment faced criticism instantly in just mere minutes, forcing him to delete the post. Although Balchunas deleted the post, users were able to take a screenshot and share it across the crypto community.
In the book excerpt shared by the analyst, it claimed that ETH has “another Achilles Heel,” where a rogue government, terrorist organization, or criminal cartel “could kidnap Vitalik and torture him until he gives them all the Ether they want.”

Additionally, the book claimed the US government shut Ethereum by ordering Amazon Web Services to shut its cloud services.

Ethereum educator Anthony Sassano, one of the users who shared the screenshot, criticized Balchunas’ response, claiming: “You should be utterly ashamed of yourself for even sharing this (and you only deleted it because you didn't want to deal with people calling you out).”

When James Seyffart, another Bloomberg analyst, replied to the deleted post, Balchunas claimed: "Lol, I don’t have time today; I will just leave up Bitcoin sections.”
