In a groundbreaking revelation, a new HBO documentary directed by Cullen Hoback, known for his acclaimed series “Q: Into the Storm,” claims to have identified the elusive creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

The disclosure, if it holds up, could send shockwaves through world financial markets and possibly the U.S. presidential election.

Since its inception in 2009, Bitcoin has evolved from a niche digital currency to a trillion-dollar asset class, attracting both investors and critics. It has been championed by high-profile figures such as Elon Musk and has become a popular means of payment for various transactions, including illegal activities.

The documentary suggests that the exposure of Nakamoto’s identity could raise critical questions about his potential involvement in Bitcoin-related crimes and establish him as one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, with an estimated 1.1 million Bitcoins under his control.

The true identity of Nakamoto has remained one of the most enduring mysteries in the world of finance and technology.

Someone operating under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, following the publication of a Bitcoin white paper on Oct. 31, 2008, took the challenger system to prominence.

In 2010, that same person disappeared from the scene. His last communication was a message to the whistleblowing website Wikileaks.

It read: “WikiLeaks has kicked the hornet’s nest, and the swarm is headed towards us … I make this appeal to WikiLeaks not to try to use Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a small beta community in its infancy. You would not stand to get more than pocket change, and the heat you would bring would likely destroy us at this stage.”
